This book contains two short stories about two writers.Jar of Tears is the story of a would be writer and coffee hound with a doomed love and a diabolical nemesis. It presents three alternate versions of his fate.The Story of Odum and Ai’va presents an alternate version of the ultimate origin story as told by the very first writer.

Yo. So. Fred...I am sitting back kicking back like always, three cups to the wire and ready to toss a little ink... Heeyup Heeyup sound like Cowboy Beat Bob at the Writer’s Coffee Round-up but truly only yours truly on an off day sitting... Have found nearest estimation of a New Orleans outdoor cafe’ ---mere coffee shop with outdoor patio table perches just off the parking lot just off the on ramp just off the highway.Making friends though, with all sorts of coffee-bound buzzers screeching in slam-braking inches mere inches from my untimely demise, sharing knowing nods about the humor of it all my calmly sipping near-death sips their knowing all along their fully functioning braking system and infallible brake foot reflexes ah yass ah yass ha ha that was a close one didn’t skip a heartbeat didn’t spill a drop ha ha nodding humorous ha...And anyhow old Fred, I am sorry sorry bonehead and a writer’s cramp of a man not having written sooner but you know you know enough of that and on...

A cartoonist and performance artist, he also facilitates senior poetry workshops that invite older writers to play with language and image.
